Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Tends one or more semiautomatic sewing machines to attach, join, or reinforce garments or other textile products.
• Receives production order.
• Thread machine and adjust thread tensions.
• Position fabric or parts in holding device on machine bed, using guides, edges or markings.
• Operate sewing machine to join parts of fabricated textile products or garments.
• Operate chain-stitch machine equipped with folder to fold and attach binding material over raw edge of garment.
• Operate blind-stitch machine to join fabric layers or attach tape or parts to garment, or to hem bottom or edges of garment.
• Operate lockstitch machine to set pockets, join shoulders, set sleeves, and reinforce seams.
• May insert draw-string cord under edge of material to fabricate bags or other canvas products.
• May stamp grommets into edges of canvas, using mallet and punch or eyelet machine.
• Operate sewing machine to repair defects such as tears, holes, ripped seams or defective stitching.
• Keep machine well-oiled and change needles as needed. Report malfunction to supervisor immediately.
• Performs general maintenance on equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
• Creates packages for product shipment. 
• Prepares product for final shipment. 
• Follows instructions and job tickets. 
• Collates and packs for job shipments. 
• Keeps department work area clean and safe. 
• Successful operation of grommet machines. 
• Mounting and trimming of photographic prints. 
• Promotes quality of jobs assigned. 
• Follows all rules and regulations set by company policy. 
• Assist in all department duties where needed. 
• Prepares overages for inventory shelf. 
• Assist in sewing production / diet cutting production. 
• Assist in cold / heat lamination operations

Graphics Technician

Position Summary:

Candidate should have experience providing layout for trade show graphics, newspapers, magazines or books, as well as experience using Adobe Creative Suites and InDesign. Length of the position is contingent upon return of employee who is on medical leave.

Position Responsibilities:

• Handling, rebuilding, and formatting multiple computer file types and digital media for final output. 
• Unique blending of desktop publishing, graphic design, digital imaging, and pre-press production, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
• Prepares and produces digital to design, edit, and proof documents, which will be used for reproduction on large format digital printers. 
• Production work ranges from laying out simple text documents to the modification of complex existing customer artwork or internally supplied artwork. 

Position Details:

• Must be flexible with hours and willing to work weekend/overtime as business needs dictate.
• First five days would be 9:00am 5:30pm. Afterwards, shift would be:
• Sunday: 8am-4:30pm
• Monday: 9am-5:30pm (shift could end between 6:30pm-8:30pm if overtime is needed).
• Tuesday/Thursday: 2pm-10:30pm (shift could change to noon-10:30pm if overtime is needed).
• Friday and Saturday off (subject to change if overtime is needed).
